Information we collect

We collect information you provide while designing or ordering a Storydisc, including your name, email address, shipping address, uploaded photo, album text, track list, playlist link, personal message, customization choices, proof feedback, and customer-support messages.

Stripe processes payment information. Storydisc receives payment status and transaction identifiers but does not receive or store your full card number.

We may also collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as browser data, request logs, and essential session information.

How we use information

• Create, review, print, and ship your personalized order.
• Generate private proofs and process your revision or approval.
• Send confirmations, proof notices, shipping updates, and customer-support replies.
• Prevent fraud, secure the service, diagnose problems, and meet legal obligations.
• Display finished work in our gallery only when you separately opt in.

Photos and artwork

Customer photos and proofs are stored in private object storage and are available only through authorized workflows. We do not sell customer photos or use them to train public or third-party artificial-intelligence models.

Unpaid cart drafts, including any uploaded photo, are automatically deleted after 30 days without an update.

We retain source photos only as long as reasonably needed to fulfill the order, handle revisions, and provide support. Thirty days after an order is marked delivered, our system is designed to permanently remove the customer’s source photo, artwork proof, contact and shipping details, playlist, personal message, track list, and production notes. A stripped-down payment and order record may remain for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. You may request earlier deletion after your order is complete, subject to records we must retain.

Service providers

We disclose only the information reasonably needed for providers to perform services for Storydisc. Current categories include payment processing through Stripe, transactional email through Resend, shipping and labels through Shippo and carriers, website analytics through Cloudflare, and secure website, database, and file hosting. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregated site activity, such as page views, visits, referral sources, device types, and general performance. This helps us learn which pages are useful and improve the shopping experience.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed not to track individual visitors and does not use cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting for this analytics measurement.

Storydisc also records a small set of shopping milestones—such as starting the builder, adding a product to the cart, beginning checkout, and completing a purchase—under a random, hashed session identifier. These events do not contain photos, album text, messages, email addresses, shipping addresses, or payment details, and are automatically removed after 180 days.

Retention and security

Order and transaction records may be retained longer than photos when needed for accounting, taxes, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal compliance. We use access controls and private storage appropriate to the information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with your order. Gallery permission is optional and unchecked by default. You may withdraw permission for future gallery use by contacting us; withdrawal may not affect materials already produced or lawfully published before the request.

Children

Storydisc is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them. A customer uploading a photo of a child must be the parent or legal guardian or have appropriate permission.
